Gaming Tips!: Basic Instruction:Flight Simulator X

Okay..,so From the start i want to tell about how to fly on fsx with boeing 737-800 (default aircraft on fsx)

In here i show how to do it,this is the basic fly so i give it step by step and this is pretty simple

there are 3 objection: - Take off

- Fly

- Landing

First i will tell you how to take off.Some people thinks this step is really simple just full the power of throttle and fly,but that's wrong.

ok,so let's just start this step..

1. set the altitude (in this flight i set 110000) and click on alt button

2. Set the IAS power ( the power of the aircraft,can be automatically armed) i suggest just set 250,not more not less..

3. turn on Vor Loc button for automatically direct you to airport destination

4.now we set the GPS system (in this flight,i fly from Tengah to Sultan Abdul Aziz) Type Shift + 3 to open GPS system,First click "PROC"

and you will see 3 option,choose "select Approach" and click ENT

then select ILS 33 > activate it then click ENT

then select Vector and activate it

and for confirmation the GPS system will ask again,select Activate and enter then they will take you to the confirmation page again...,now click PROC

now there will be 3 option again,choose activate Approach,and done...,close the GPS system by typing shit + 3 again.

5. change the Nav to GPS and turn on auto-throttle switch

6. once it done,turn on the Speed Button under the Auto-throttle switch,don't forget to set flaps(about the flaps,when you take off i suggest you set the flaps at 5)

7.wait until 180 - 200 Kts.,and pull up the plane until it fly,once the altitude about 600 - 900,set the flaps back to 0 and pull the landing gear and turn on Auto-Pilot (auto pilot can be turned on by pressing "Z" on the keyboard)

8. No we're 159 away from the destination airport.

Now,that's all steps for Take off,now the steps for fly is really easy,actually all you have to do is nothing...,just wait (if you have FsPassengers installed on you Fsx,you can turn off the seat belt sign)

Now let us continue to Landing Section (this is the hard steps)

1. once the destination is about 50 - 80 Nm Away from the airport,set the altitude to between 1000 - 2000 (is up to you,you can set it whetever you want.)

2. now you need to set Navigation system,it can be found by typing shift + 2 (in this flight i set 109.90,because my destination airport is Sultan Abdul Azis (the code can be found on airport ILS wings) it helps you to moving toward the destination airport)

once you heard the Morse Code,change Vor Loc to Approach Button (Note: when you click Approach button,Altitude button will be turned off,turn on that button again.)

3. now you may lowering the speed to 200 and Set GPS to Nav.

4. try to reduce the altitude too,the more the aircraft near the destination airport the more altitude must reduced and don't forget to set the flaps

5. once we near the destination airport pull the landing gear to down and don't forget the flaps must be full.

6.just wait until the aircraft move toward to the runway.

7.once the aircraft REALLY near the runway,start to turn off all the buttons.

8.now we're ready to do Landing Touchdown,this is the hardest part but i got a few tips for this.

First,when the aircraft rapidly going down,try to add the power,just wait the aircraft move down towardly to the runway.

Last,let the aircraft hover above the runway,like this..

then,slowly release any of the power on the aircraft and the touchdown begin..!(don't forget to set reverse thrust after the landing touchdown occured by pressing F2)
